Duas For Piety And Taqwa

      

“ Our Lord, and Make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our offspring a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our ways of worship (all the ceremonies of pilgrimage – Hajj and ‘Umrah, etc.)and turn to us (in Mercy); Indeed, You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.”

رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

Rabbanaa waj’alnaa muslimayni laka waminthurriyyatinaa ummatan muslimatan laka wa-arinaa manaasikanaa watub ‘alaynaa innaka antat-tawwaabur-raheem

Surah Al-Baqarah ,verse 128

This is the du’aa of the Prophets Ibrahim and Isma`il Alaihissalaam. They made this du’aa while they were building the Holy Kaaba.

       It can be recited for

• Taqwa
• Piety

• To make yourself and your offspring submit to Allah
• Forgiveness of your sins
• Acceptance of your repentance

anta	أَنتَ	(You) are
At-tawwaabu	التَّوَّابُ	the One Who accepts repentance,
Ar-raheem	الرَّحِيمُ	the Most Merciful
